Edd China addresses Wheeler Dealers departure in 2017
Wheeler Dealers’ stars Mike Brewer and Edd China were one of TV’s golden duos and hosted the popular classic car restoration show side-by-side for 13 years.
The duo parted ways in 2017 after more than a decade on-screen together shortly after the show started being produced in America.
Mike continues to front the series which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year while Edd stepped away to focus on his own projects.
The duo stressed there was no feud with Edd leaving over disagreements with the future direction of the series.
However, on The Road to Success podcast, Mike recently admitted the pair were no longer on speaking terms.

Mike even accepted that he wished he was still mates with Edd which seems to suggest they do not consider themselves friends at the moment.
Edd has since stayed relatively tight-lipped on his reasons for leaving the series but did give fans an update shortly after quitting.
He claimed the “detailed and in-depth coverage” of Edd’s fixes on the show were set to face the chop by production officials.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Edd said: “The workshop jobs are certainly the hardest part of the show to make, and reducing their substance and role in the show will save the production considerable time, effort and therefore money.

“However this new direction is not something I am comfortable with as I feel the corners I was being asked to cut would compromise the quality of my work and would erode my integrity, as well as that of the show.”
After the announcement, Mike and his family were targeted with angry messages from fans of the show with Edd calling on supporters to leave him alone.
During the update, Edd said: “Is he my favourite person right now? Probably not. And I know for sure I’m not his. That’s okay. We are both adults. We will get over ourselves.
“We will get past this and then we will be fine… We’ve just had a slight disagreement over how the show should be made.”
